Minister of Communications and Digital Meutya Hafid will appear as one of the keynote speakers at the 2024 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Bali. This is the first time Indonesia has hosted an international public relations event, organized by the Global Alliance in collaboration with Perhumas Indonesia. 

Meutya will deliver the keynote speech at the session “Shaping Nation Branding through Digital Communication,” which highlights the role of digital communication in strengthening the nation's image. Besides Meutya, Director General of Public Information and Communication Prabu Revolusi is also scheduled to be a speaker at this prestigious forum.

With the theme “Purposeful Influence for the Common Good,” WPRF 2024 aims to respond to the challenges and opportunities in the global public relations industry by encouraging dialogue on innovation, ethics, and the strategic role of PR in society and organizations.

Chairman of Perhumas Indonesia Boy Kelana Soebroto stated that WPRF in Bali will be a dynamic platform for sharing ideas, strategies and best practices among professionals, academics, industry leaders and government.

“The Ministry of Communication and Digital has a strategic role in developing the digital communication ecosystem in Indonesia as well as in facing global challenges associated with the era of digital transformation. At WPRF 2024, we hope that Ibu Menkomdigi can share insights on the development of digital technology that affects the public communication landscape and the role of the media in delivering accurate, transparent and balanced information,” Boy Kelana said in a written statement, Thursday (14/11/2024).

Furthermore, Boy emphasized that in the era of globalization with instant access to information, cooperation between the government, industry, and society is very important to create a safe and healthy digital ecosystem. “The Minister's presence at WPRF 2024 is expected to make a significant contribution to the international discussion on the role of communication and technology in building a more connected, smarter, and responsive society to global challenges,” Boy added. 

He also stated that this forum is not only a place to share experiences, but also an opportunity for Indonesia to demonstrate its commitment to building a healthy digital ecosystem and presenting solutions to global communication challenges.

WPRF 2024 will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities aimed at supporting professional development and global collaboration for participants. The forum will also hold the prestigious Global PR and Communications Awards, honoring excellence and innovation in the field.
