The forum will be a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, strategies and best practices among professionals, academics and industry leaders.

Budi added that Indonesia needs massive promotion to the outside world and here, the role of public relations is needed.
“Indonesia is currently part of the world's spotlight. Recently, Apple's CEO visited Indonesia. Of course we don't want to just be a potential market but how Indonesia should be the development of digital technology growth and speed. Therefore, public relations practitioners must continue to spread positive information about Indonesia,” said Budi Arie as a keynote speaker at Road to WPRF 2024 in Jakarta, Tuesday (23/4/2024).
Budi added that the world of public relations can also utilize digital technology such as artificial intelligence to improve quality. However, do not let the use of technology forget the human dimension.
Global Alliance President and CEO Justin Green highlighted the importance of this meeting, stating, WPRF 2024 is an unprecedented opportunity for the global PR community to unite and collaborate to enhance the role of PR in achieving public welfare and organizational success.
“We are committed to showcasing breakthrough strategies and insights that will shape the future of our profession,” Green said.
Perhumas Chairman Boy Kelana Soebroto expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the forum in Indonesia.
“We are honored to bring WPRF to Bali, a location that perfectly embodies the theme of unity in diversity. The event will not only showcase Indonesia's rich cultural heritage, but also highlight its growing influence in the global PR landscape. We look forward to welcoming the world to Indonesia and together creating a beneficial influence for the common good,” said Boy.
Boy added, at WPRF 2024, Perhumas will also launch a public relations code of ethics created together with the Ministry of Communication and Information. This code of ethics was created with the adaptation of artificial intelligence.
According to Boy, the presence of AI can help public relations tasks but the human touch should not be abandoned. Therefore, Perhumas invites all public relations practitioners to optimize communication work by using AI responsibly.
WPRF 2024 will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to enhance professional development and global collaboration among participants. The Forum will also host the prestigious Global PR and Communications Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation in the field.
As part of WPRF 2024, the Indonesian PR Convention (KHI) and the Indonesian Young PR Summit (PEMUDA) will be key events. These events, which are an integral part of the PR landscape in Indonesia, will provide additional forums for discourse and innovation, which will further enrich the WPRF experience. Katadata, Indonesia's leading economic and business media company, has been appointed as the official event management partner to ensure a professionally curated experience for all participants.
As the world's third largest democracy and an emerging economic power, Indonesia's strategic role in global discourse, including public relations, is increasingly significant. WPRF 2024 in Bali aims to capitalize on this momentum, encouraging the participation of government bodies, state-owned enterprises, corporations, and organizations in the nation's branding efforts as well as the pursuit of sustainable leadership and ethical business practices worldwide.
